What I Love About Seattle: Bauhaus Coffee House

Seattle has an amazing coffee shop scene, unlike any where else I have ever been with exception to Portland (Portland is like Seattle's little sister / they have a similar culture)

Bauhaus is inviting and always packed full of people from the moment it opens till it closes at 1AM. People reading, writing novels, doing homework, chatting with friends and it's not uncommon for this all to happen to the soundtrack of some amazing music like Morrissey. There is something comforting about being surrounded by your fellow Capitol Hillers to the sweet sound of lattes and mochas being made. (Bauhaus on Yelp)

Seattle #1 In Coffee and Chocolate Consumption

According to the 2nd Annual HealthSaver Caffeinated Cities Survey Seattle is the number one consumer of Chocolate and Coffee. Read The Study

I blame this on the fact that we have some amazing coffee & chocolate companies like Vita Coffee and Theo's Chocolates.

Seattle Coffee Walking Tour

Seattle By Foot is offering a new Seattle Coffee Walking Tour that will take people from Pike Place Market to Pioneer Square. The tour with visit the following cafes:

-Seattle Coffee Works
-Dilettante Mocha Café
-Monorail Espresso
-Trabant Coffee & Chai

Sounds like fun but personally I don't see how you can really give a quality coffee tour of Seattle without atleast including Cafe Vita, Victrola and Vivace.

More information about the tour can be found at http://seattlebyfoot.com
