Dogs taking over Seattle

I didn't realize there were more dogs in Seattle then Kids
"90,000 kids by 2000 census counts, compared to 125,000 canines"

There is an article in the Seattle Times about the growing population of Canines and the problems and contentions it is causing. Should the city allow pet owners to continue to bring their pets with them to shop for food. restuarants, coffee shops etc? That's apparently the big debate.

As for myself, I love dogs but I would prefer for them to sit outside any business establishment.
