Seward Park Beach Reopens Tomorrow

Beach has been closed because of sewage leak

Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 3, Seattle Parks and Recreation will reopen the lifeguarded Seward Park Swimming Beach on Lake Washington's Andrews Bay, which was closed on July 27 because of a sewage leak from a pump station at the park. Restrooms at the park were also closed temporarily.

The beach will be open, weather pending, for its regular hours, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Staff from King County Land and Water Resources have conducted tests on three consecutive days that indicate the water is safe, and Public Health - Seattle & King County has advised Parks that it is safe to reopen the beach.

The swimming beach and Andrews Bay are located on the west side of Seward Park near the main park entrance at 5900 Lake Washington Boulevard S.
