Summer is almost here and for once it would be great to be healthy, so I am taking on the challenge of trying to lose 15 lbs by June 24th. That gives me about 1 month and 1 week to accomplish this. This means no burgers and no sugar which at this moment is pretty much all I eat these days for lunch and dinner.
This movie had so much potential that it truly hurt to see it fall flat. I blame it completely on the inexperience of the writers/directors (the Spierig Brothers) who apparently learned nothing from the success of movies like 28 Days Later and I Am Legend. These movies were able to take a supernatural theme that in the 80's would have been just plain cheesy and modernize into a believable dark masterpiece rooted in science.
Spoiler Alert: I gave up on the movie after about 10 minutes when they showed a scene of Ethan Hawke's character looking into a mirror and the only thing you saw was a shirt and tie moving around with out the face. The whole concept that Vampires can't be seen in mirrors is so lame.
In two and half weeks I will be in Park City Utah for the Sundance Film Festival with 2 of my good friends Bruce Russo, Ryan Pfluger, my better half Matt Buchan and our friend Amy. I have a client who will have a movie in the festival, friends throwing parties and Ryan will be doing various shoots for magazines at the festival. So it should be good times. I guess I will be representing Banyan Branch at Sundance.
Here is a list of movies I will be seeing this year.
