Help Save Scrabulous

Hasbro is trying to shut down the popular Facebook game Scrabulous. Scrabulous is the most popular game on Facebook and gets over 500,000 daily users a day. I'm sure it's had a huge positive impact on game sales. It's the perfect viral marketing campaign for Scrabble. Instead of shutting them down, Hasbro should buy Scrabulous, work out a deal with them, or release their own Facebook App.

Here is how you can help:
The declaration from the online petition
"Stop the makers of Scrabble, 'Hasbro' and 'Mattel' from removing the Scrabulous application from Facebook. It is a popular application, with over 600,000 hits per day and has revitalised the World's interest in Scrabble, as well as improving vocabulary and uniting people from all over the world!"

Since when did stealing become something worth defending? Intellectual property theft is also theft. I'm surprised that a huge number of really decent people are now suddenly pro-theft, just because it serves their own needs.

"Copyright protects only the particular manner of an author’s expression in literary, artistic, or musical form. Copyright protection does not extend to any idea, system, method, device, or trademark material involved in the development, merchandising, or playing of a game. Once a game has been made public, nothing in the copyright law prevents others from developing another game based on similar principles."
