Seattle Apartment Rentals on the Rise

Here is an interesting article I read today about the Seattle Apartment Market
The Puget Sound Business Journal reports that Seattle is among the top 10 apartment markets for 2007 (Seattle ranked 7th, New York 1st). Which means it is going to get harder and hard to live downtown region. Expect rent to go up in 2007. ( "average asking rents will climb 5.4 percent to $980 a month.")

New First Hill/Capitol Hill Conversion : The Decatur

The Decatur was a very nice apartment building so I am actually very excited to see what it looks like as a condo.

Here here are some details I have recieved regarding some of the conversion upgrades

1 bedroom 1 bath will run between 225,000~305,000
2 bedroom 1 bath will run between $345,000~425,000

Some of the upgrades you can expect at Decatur will include

  • Luxurious formal lobby with daytime concierge

  • The homes have hardwood floors in the entry and kitchen; slab granite countertops, mosaic tile backsplash in the kitchen, stainless steel appliances, hex-tile bathroom floors

  • If anyone is interested in checking them out with me let me know.
